Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2025
At Shift with Grace, your privacy matters deeply. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data—so you feel safe, seen, and supported every step of the way.
1. Who We Are
Shift with Grace is a life coaching and digital wellness business based in Brisbane, Australia. Our services include 1:1 coaching, digital products, and online content designed to help you reconnect with your soft life.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the personal information necessary to support your experience with us. This may include:
- Contact details (name, email address, phone number)
- Booking information (session type, preferred times)
- Purchase details (products bought, payment method)
- Email newsletter preferences
- Website activity (via cookies, pixels, or analytics tools, which may also capture encrypted identifiers such as your email, phone number, or location to support advertising and analytics)
We do not collect sensitive health or medical data unless voluntarily disclosed by you during coaching (and even then, it’s never stored or shared).
3. Why We Collect Your Data
Your information helps us:
- Deliver the services or products you’ve requested
- Contact you about bookings or coaching updates
- Send you occasional emails or digital freebies (with your consent)
- Improve the experience and functionality of our website
We will never sell, rent, or misuse your data.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using trusted platforms (for example, Shopify, booking tools, and email providers) that comply with recognised data protection standards. We only retain your data as long as necessary to deliver services or meet legal obligations.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request that we delete your information (this may remove access to downloads or coaching records)

6. Notifiable Data Breaches (Australia)
In the unlikely event of a serious data breach that could cause harm, we’ll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with Australian law. Where relevant, we will also notify other regulators (for example, the UK ICO or an EU authority).
7. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work smoothly and to understand how visitors use our pages.
- Essential — required for core functions such as cart, checkout, security, and basic site features.
- Analytics — used to improve site performance and content.
- Marketing — used for advertising or personalisation; these run only where permitted by law and/or with your consent. This includes tools such as the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, which may share details like your email address, phone number, name, or location (in a protected, encrypted form) with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to deliver relevant ads and measure performance.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalised ads through platforms such as Meta’s Ad Preferences and Google Ad Settings, or unsubscribe from our emails at any time. If you visit from a region that requires consent (e.g. EU/UK), a cookie banner or preferences panel will appear so you can choose your settings.
8. Third-Party Tools
We use trusted platforms to help deliver our services, for example:
- Shopify (online store and checkout)
- Booking software (for scheduling)
- Email marketing software (if subscribed)
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising tools, including Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and automatic advanced matching. These allow us to understand website activity and improve the relevance of ads. Information such as email, phone number, or name may be securely encrypted before being matched with Meta accounts.
- Shopify Network Intelligence, which uses aggregated customer data across Shopify merchants to improve targeting and personalisation. No other merchant can see your individual data.
We do not sell or disclose your personal information to unrelated third parties. The tools we use are limited to those that directly support our services, advertising, and analytics.
9. International Visitors & Legal Bases
We comply with applicable privacy laws including Australia’s Privacy Act, the EU/UK GDPR, and relevant US state laws. For GDPR purposes, we rely on lawful bases such as consent (e.g. marketing emails or non-essential cookies), contract (to deliver purchases or bookings), and legitimate interests (to run and protect our services). You may withdraw consent at any time where applicable.
10. Data Transfers
We operate from Australia and may process or store information in other countries (for example, where our service providers host data). Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border transfers (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections).
11. Children
Our services are intended for adults (18+) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that someone under 18 has provided personal information through our site, store, or bookings, we will delete it. Advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) set their own age requirements for accounts, but we also target our services to adults only.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. When we post changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
